Wow, that is just ridiculous! One of my friends on Airport City went to a different time zone and her iPad automatically changed the time. She had both her AC game and her Tribez game blocked because of 'unfair advantage'.
And there's no way back; they just close your ticket and ignore you after that. :(

In my experience complaining is useless; they just tell you to start from scratch.

OMG. as far as I know, the first block should be unblocked by GI, after a warning. Thats at least what it is for Airport City. As Janie stated, there are many who have been blocked for no reason. They will first give a long reply telling all these and then will not reply further.

At this point you are toast. Only way to get back if GI won't fix you, is to start from scratch. So sorry

Have you explained to them? They said I was blocked earlier in the year, but It didn't affect the playability of my game. I kept complaining even if I didn't hear anything back, I would start a new ticket. They did sort it out in the end, although it took a few weeks. If you pester them enough they might give in. Worth a try I would say

Exactly what happened I said that I got no warning and they said that I recieved an unfair advantage which is funny because I failed all the time challenges so it's a scam

Honestly they are dumb I don't care I never spent a dime so I guess I'll start again but play less I was playing too much anyways
 
Also a last note on this I don't want to bombard the forum with this but they blocked b to my friends, to contests, and I would have never finished the Eiffel challenge without access to friends and contests
 
So, I guess if anyone ever travels across time zones, they should turn off their wifi/cell signal until they are back at their point of origin? What about if someone moves permanently and is now in a different time zone? Does that mean they get banned once their iPad changes the time zone? This is just the most ridiculous oversight on GI's part and if their programmers cannot work that in to the game, they need to find another job.

With that being said, I know I have traveled twice to a different time zone and that my iPad updated the time. I played the game during this time. So, that makes this whole thing even more puzzling. The banning seems to be completely random!

I'm sorry if that were to happen to me ever, I would give up on the game completely.

I know I have traveled through different time zones and haven't any problems so far. I am visiting Az next month which is a different time zone so I have my fingers crossed. If I were to get banned, I know I wouldn't start all over. This game isn't worth the hassles GI gives us. I have even slowed down on my port. Just too much stress trying to get every ship filled. If I don't like the cargo I just let it go empty. I have enough cc built up that I can last a long time playing. I don't buy entertainment building any more and I have almost all the production ones. So my cc have been building up for a long time.
