Big Business - game discussion

JC8489/SteveGPI - you seem to have cleared off quite a bit of the available land. Would you mind tell me what you next piece of land costs? I don't think there's any information online about land prices, and I was just curious what rate the land prices increased at. Thanks!

I squish my buildings up. My next plot will be just under 1.2 million. Seems like it is going up about 100-150K each time. I have only used real $12 and that was months ago when I could get triple the credits. I'm trying not to spend any more real $ on the game. There are so many sales and buildings you can get with producing items that if you are willing to wait you can expand slowly. I'm liking the free credits this month with just entering the game. Wish it could be this way all the time!

My land squares are currently costing me 3,735,000 credits (or 60 city credits). I've expanded quite rapidly just recently, thanks to a lot of accumulated "free land" or "reduced price land" tokens in storage. I must admit, I do tend to get bored and buy city credits purely for the purpose of keeping the expansion going - I don't usually spend city credits on buildings etc, I wait for events to try and pick most of those up. I guess I just like my farms to look and feel like farms (ie. be surrounded by some green area!) rather than all squished up in a few squares.

My goodness! That is an insane amount of coins needed for an additional square. I too would like to spread my factories and other building out a little rather than have them all lined up in a monotonous row. Guess once all my factories have been bought, I will turn my focus to land expansions.

I too have a few of those free land tokens in storage though I think I might save those until later when the prices start shooting up. I do buy some cc here and there, especially when they have the 3X sale (which they have not had in a very long time if I'm correct). But I can't see myself spending 60cc on a square of land. I'd probably wait it out for a week and try to make enough coins to buy it that way. Different strokes for different folks I guess :)

1.2MM is a little more manageable than 3.7MM! Yeah, I know its asking for a little too much, but it sure would be nice to get free credits more often. The port is a good way to get some free credits but once expanded, it is quite a challenge itself to fill it up every day.

I hate how the items in my Warehouse are not organized in any sort of way. Not alphabetically, not based on cost of the items, not based on how many of each item you have. And not only that, but they are constantly moving their location in my Warehouse. One day Coal is on the first page...the next day it's all the way on page 3. I can never find what I'm looking for! Does this seem to bother any one else? Are you with me on this one, GAB? :-) City: MegVille Player: MegFree1013 Level: 57 From: Chicago, Illinois:-)

Yeah you know I am. I don't like my cheese moved. Read that book "who moved my cheese". I don't mind the disorder , just look at my city lol, but I do mind things being moved around on me.

Ok so check my math here. 24 hours x 60 min= 1440 min /15min per =96 fruit a day x 10 (max # of farms) = 960 fruit. Any one else see a problem here? Even if they used the bonus that reduces manufacturing time by 30% it is still impossible unless u play 24hours straight with no sleep from the minute the new contest starts. This is why I don't even try.

The only way to do this is cash, you start the production as normal then hit the finish now. For fruit this is 1CC, so you can 'produce' as many as you wish. So chances of most getting into top three is slim, Do not attempt all contests but pick the ones where you have a few factories. Even if you do not 'win' you gain 50% extra cash.

Whilst there are two players throwing money at the game (we all know who they are) in order to finish top then the chances of anyone else finishing in the top three are indeed remote. Can't see the point of playing that way myself as it would not give me any satisfaction to know I had won but only by spending more than anyone else.

Completely agree with this! The other thing is, if I don't think I will break the top 50 in any case, I try to make a few more than the minimum required to place in the top 100. 50-100 get the same reward in any case so why break my back over it? I also look at the table on the wiki site (though I'm not sure how up to date the table is), and then see if there is a reasonable chance that I will place given the number of resources I have and time I can allot to the contest.
