Sigh! There goes my weekend :/ Though I could use the extra happiness so I'll take it!

EDIT: Wasn't this a building that was offered for CC purchase not too long back? For some reason the name of the building sounds very familiar. If that is the case, I would be mad if I spent CC on it only to find out it could be earned through this event.

Hi there, I'm close to completing the Commerical Port task. I've been sitting waiting for 30 steel detail from the dounut cafés, I've been stuck here for 3 days, did it take others a long time to compete?

After a lot of back-and-forth I too buckled to my OCD tendencies and bought the electronics plant a couple of days back. I couldn't stand to see the unfinished tasks in the left hand side pane. Yeah, I'm weird like that. I don't have nearly as high a happiness level as you, so I'm stuck with just one each of the mine, chemical plant and oil refinery. With these limited resources, and the amount of time it takes to produce each item at the electronics plant, it will be a while before I clear out all the tasks. Not to mention all the upgrade costs, including the staffing needs costs. Even I could produce good fast enough, I don't think I would be able to upgrade the plant fast enough. Regarding the big power plant upgrade, am I correct that it only provides a 600 unit uptick? If so, that doesn't seem like a whole lot gained, and I think I'm might have to save my building brigade for the electronics plant upgrade.

At the end of the 6 levels of upgrades the big power plant generates 10100 electricity., so while it may seem much at the 1st level, by the time you get to level 6, that costs, i think, 96 cc, so for me, the building brigade is definitely worth it.

The steel detail did take me the longest time. I would have hours with only one drop and then would get 2-3 in one other collection. I did have 12 cafés though. The more you have the better your chances.

I'm very tempted to buy one of the buildings that are currently on sale; the bakery, the waffle cafe or the sombrero restaurant. My question is are they worth it and if so which one is the most useful?
And is it true that they only produce 2 or 3 different items?

The bakery will help you when you want to build the River Bridge.

I have the bakery and I love it! It does only produce two items (2 levels only). Apple Pie is the level 1 item and it is quite profitable and easy to make. Only needs 2 fruit and 2 flour. 2610 profit per 15 mins excluding raw material costs/time.

Sorry I don't know about the others but wasn't too keen on them since their goods are pretty raw material intensive and take a bit longer too. I have seen waffles as a port item quite often so that might be something to consider.

After you are offered suitcases with steel details, they will come faster. You just have to wait for them. I had 10 donut shops too.

I've just started work on the hydro plant. I am not trying to complete inside of 10 days as I know it impossible. However, how long does it generally take to get suitcases and workers? I am on the second day and have seen none yet.

Got workers in no time....suitcases... a year... o wait ....that was just 2013 to 2014 year change over....took abt a month....Good luck! and dont depend on getting any of those quest in the time countdown...yes it is impossible.
