I see. Well, then it is good to know I did not miss anything. Zero suitcases so far. 2/20 workers. It is luck, right? Try and you will succeed, eventually. That's what we learned from the CS folks.

I do, and could have much more but at this point every upgrade is 4-5 mil and every land purchase is ~2mil. Also, I don't produce anything beyond what I need for the port. Most facilities are idle.

Update on my hydroplant progress: 6 days, still ZERO suitcases and 4/20 workers. Needless to say, I ignored the offer to buy these suitcases (4x20 credits). I do realize all this "luck" BS is about forcing the OCD player to buy crap. Ain't gonna happen.

The hydro plant has several objectives that you have no control over in terms of completing in timely manner. If you spend money on one objective it will be a waste if you don't do the same with the following ones. That's why most just sit down and are prepared for 2-3 months to complete. That, or pull out your credit card.
Don't know about OCD so much as need for quicker gratification.

I got several Modules of Automation back a few months ago when they advertised. My corp works to get top prize for the building brigades and so I dont spend much to upgrade and I make sure it is the most expensive ones. I stopped concentrating on how much money I had and I actually just looked yesterday and realized it is up there. I keep my wh stocked and look for everyone to try and help them. Usually when I get bananas or manogs or papayas I go ahead and turn them into muffins shakes and strussel. I try to keep 2 or 3 of most things the ships usually ask for in containers That is hard to do and sometimes I have to sell off some stuff. I keep factories busy with stuff or like now the corp is making meat so I make spices and turn into sausage and sell them off.
I had a couple friends give me nice itunes cards for Xmas and my bday and if I buy credits it has to be 3x the amount sometimes 2x but very rarely base amt. Special buildings only bought on sale. And to gain cc I have been working on achievments to get extra cc.
What helped though the most was the Module of Automations. I think they were extra gifts when you got cc (which was you know the 2x, 3x amts)
I probably did other things but I cant remember right now. Oh I did find this forum and got great tips and lots of friends and things started getting better for me once I started to understand stuff.
Thinking though it would be funny if a city was sitting there and the person away you could loot the city LOL. or if you could put your city on vacation mode and others could help themselves to things you put up for sale even.
I thought about it and if I had to do things over I would build up farms ranches mills and dairy faster and sooner and leave the cosmetics radio and elect plants til a little later. And also I would understand the population and happiness much better.

Hi. GI determine what gifts we give and when. We've had two rounds of these gift types so far. If your lucky we'll get another! Personally I'd like to be able to gift turbines once in a while!
