But, yes, I do not at all deserve the unspeakable gift she is; I swear she's not quite human. She even lets me play DV cuz the baby dragons are so cute (obligatory DV content).

Thanks...I have used the rare breeding guide with much success... Rainbows galore and even got the LYD first try....just that darn moon eludes me! And really thanks for welcoming me I needed fellow DVers to vent to....my family thinks I'm crazy but I luvz my dragons!

I think I need to hire a DV babysitter...today is my "day off"... Lets see, I ran to a friend/beadwork clients house within minutes of getting up to finish up 4 necklaces she ordered ( she needed to see what I was doing and I had to make sure they were the exact length she wanted). Got there and she had me go with while she did the photo & paperwork for a passport, then to a store because she needed to meet her daughter and buy some earrings. Finally got back to her place, got 3 of the necklaces done...just about to check my DV, got a call from someone in the ministry I volunteer for asking me to meet them in a few minutes to talk about a project she is assigned & needs help with..so hop in the car & head back into town to meet her over chips and dip. Head home, contact a head of the ministry to get more details, waiting on her to call back tonight. Spent one hour decluttering house as part of spring cleaning ( plus after being laid up or on crutches for most of the past 2 years and unable to do much here...spring cleaning and decluttering is a must, I have help coming Fri. Night but the clutter has to be gone before then) still have my apps to take care of, an email account to go through and start compiling a database of snail mail addys for 1,000 people, documentation from 4 clients yesterday yet to do, the phone call to do....might fit some supper & DV in there edgewise before I go to bed in 4 hours as I have to be somewhere by 7:45 AM tomorrow morning...

Prime example of why I rarely post...my work days are even busier!

K, this is kind of funny - but has anyone noticed the dragon's tongues? My favorite is the Mud. I noticed it one day and since then I've been looking at all the tongues because they usually are a contrast in color.

Yeah, I noticed mud has a rainbow tongue the other day! I thought it was funny so I watched for ages until he flicked his tongue out again!! 

Just bred my elusive second Panlong. Sped up the hatching and now have them breeding. So relieved, and now time to try for the second of a a few of the others now I have Panlongs to breed for dc.

As some or most know my biggest wish is to lock the time on the gems reload. Instead of guessing when the gems will reload and going out my mind thinking I gift at a certain time. . .i synced the time with the coliseum. So now clicking on the time remaining on the tournament, I also know when my gems will be reloading. Yay!

The second Moon was by far the most difficult dragon for me to obtain in my park. And the same is holding true in Jack's park. I've tried at least 50 times and it's still the only one we don't have a pair of.

Random thought... DV gives you an award when you have at least one of every non-holiday dragon. So it knows where you are. Do you think that they make it doubly difficult to get the last one in order to have all the pairs? Certainly true for me, but my sample size is only two. Has anyone else experienced great difficulty in getting that last one?

The moon dragon was one of the easier ones for me..I got my first one when I wasn't trying to get one then I decided to get my second one and got it a couple days later..then I tried breeding blue fire and quake and ended up getting 2 more moon dragons along with 1 sun from that combo..guess I got lucky

Thanks for the tip! I used Bluefire & Quake and got Jack's second Moon on the third try. His Noah's Ark is now fully boarded and ready to sail. Time to level up Pans in his CGCF and Bluefires and Frostfires in his Cold habitat and the gold shrines take of themselves.

Success in breeding a dragon that you really want is still the best part of this game. Never get tired of it.

For those of you who are wondering about the best combinations to get your desired RARE dragons...please visit my thread.
REMEMBER...I have posted the MOST COMMONLY CONFIRMED / REPORTED WAYS to breed these RARE dragons. There of course are other combos, but they have only been reported once or a few times.
RARE DRAGONS have A HUGE element of CHANCE, so keep trying!!

Unfortunately, I encourage a friend to play DV 3 weeks ago. In three weeks, she bred 2 clovers, 3 sun, 19 Pans, 3 rainbows, 3 suns, 1 LYD, 3 frost and more. Who knows what she has in the HC? But she only has 1 moon. She bred all these dragons in three weeks. I know she bred them, as she only purchased $25 in gems or more since we last talked. I feel so bad as i downloaded the game on her iphone for her. Initially she was going gift me a gem a day, but she started to play . . .and now her islands are producing much more DC than mine. Amazed how lucky she has been in getting all these rares.

And she's not giving you gems???!!!! That's not very nice

Poppy I've got everything but a rainbow... I've been trying for three months. I've had all others for at least a month, maybe more. At all times one of my breeding sites is occupied by attempts for rainbows. raise that sample size to 3.
