Hay Day Discussion and Game Help Thread (NO FRIEND REQUESTS)

To add on to Kruella's posts:

The Game Center is part of your iPhone or iPad. It might be on the first "page" of your device when you hit the home button. It's sort of like how you might have had Solitaire or Mine Sweep as a game to play on your computer. So look near where you might look if you wanted to change your Settings or Text someone. It is an icon like those. It will say Game Center. (I had no idea what it was when I first started!). Hope that helps!

Times like this I wish this forum had a like button :)

I have a policy not to help someone if I don't see at least one please in their requesting post. Is it really so hard not to say please when asking other people for help in this game? Totally, totally agree with you KJ, and with Laura's comments later.

How to unfollow a friend?i remember just tab on it photo then can unfollow but now cant?

Not sure if anyone has replied to you Rou? Just tap on the ribbon at the top of the screen, near their farm name.

Maybe it's just an offer to exchange things so not using please? For me, i am ok with it, just take the offer if i willing to help.

Maybe, but it's easy to say please or thank you, even when looking for a trade. It's also friendlier! You're right though, we can always choose not to help out, it just makes the forum a nicer place if people are polite. :)

It does have a like button, but you have to use the website rather than the app. I wish the app had one :-)

Hey you! :) A like button on the app would be so great. Morning and thank you, but really, I have to credit Blondie's creativity. :)

Just a reminder, the lottery finishes tomorrow morning, so there is plenty of time if anyone else wants to have a guess.

You may be right, but when requests start with "I need" I like to see a please or thank you tacked on to the request. Maybe I'm just old fashioned that way :) I wouldn't ask a person standing in front of me for help without saying please so why not extend the same curtesy to people in a chat room :) It makes it a friendlier place don't you think :) Sent from my iPad mini using iPF. Same here KJ, it's just rudeness really. I refuse to help people who lack manners. Language barrier is no excuse for me either, first thing most of us learn in other languages - hello, please, thank you. If people can write out what they want help with, they can write "please" on the end of it.. iPad RD | London, UK | GC: sapphireoceans | Level 72 | If YOU won't fill your own sugar/dairy boat, I certainly won't ~ also, manners are free :-)

I completely agree. Most of us here are more than willing to help folks out but it isn't a given. It is a "community" and communities are better with common courtesies which foster a more collegial environment.

I'd like to add that I prefer when people respond to PMs. I think it is courtesy to respond that you do/don't need help. Sending a note that you can help that goes unresponded just drives me crazy! But I too just may be old-fashioned! ;)
