Finding Barn expansion materials (BEM) and Silo expansion materials (SEM) are a core part of the game - it would be too easy if these were readily available. You randomly get these when you harvest crops and can sometimes find them in the Daily Dirt newspaper. But be quick - everyone is looking for them too.
