Hi all,

My name is Mike and I have been a windows guy for many years, but got started with an iPod Touch last year and now I'm hooked so went and picked up an iPad2 a couple weeks ago. WOW! It is truly an amazing device. Thanks for this great site. All the great posts have already helped me find some new apps to use.

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to spending time here,
Mike

Hello all,
I finally took the plunge and bought the iPad as I am going into Mayo Clinic for open heart surgery and wanted something to keep me busy while recovering. I am thrilled with it as at my age trying to use the iPhone for Internet etc. was tough for me. I look forward to reading all the info from other users.

Hi

I'm a speech pathologist in a public school in Chapel Hill, NC and work with lots of autistic kids. I'm always looking for new ways to teach using the iPad 2.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
I loved my iPhone when I first received it but I too found it tough going as far as Internet use was concerned, but the iPad just opens the door to so much more and will be perfect for you in your recovery. All the best for a speedy one!!
Enjoy!!

Hello from Texas! I got an ipad yesterday and have been exploring it this weekend. Found some +++ and some ----. I got this because I have not owned any mobile devices and I thought it would be easier to use sitting in my chair to read books than my laptop. I have been into Macs since the early 90's and I own several mac computers. I am a bit disappointed in the web browsing ability but it is my understanding that web sites are not really designed for mobil touch screens. Did not know that going into this. Well, anyway I imagine I will be here often. D
