I made my purchase knowing that the iPad 1.0 was a bleeding edge device in a new category. Having said that I do like it very much and I enjoy discovering new ways of doing things with it.
However, as I have said before, I DON'T like the Walled Garden mentality. I think that it is an iPod legacy that has no place in the tablet world.
That fact that you can't simply copy files to and from the iPad using a File Manager is just ridiculous as per...

If this issue hasn't been addressed by the time I am looking to replace my iPad, I will probably not be buying another one. I will opt for whichever out of Andriod, Wndows etc looks the best at the time.
