What's new

Name a Pet Peeve!

Like yesterday!

In a dental office with a client and there was this lady on her cell with her bills strewn across her lap, calling about her Comcast bill! Loud as hell. "No, I paid that! I did NOT order that movie!"

Seriously? Not one iota of a thought to everyone else in that waiting room.

Bet she doesn't do it again.:)

I eat a really nice meal and within an hour my stomach growls like I'm starving.

Yeah...I'm tired of my stomach saying obscene things to me.

Rude students who think teachers are there for their own benefit and threaten to phone their mummy when they don't get their own way! Grrr!

Love your avatar scottishwarlord. 1 minute until our minute of silence. The bugle sounds!

oh! oh! I have one. A pet peeve that is. People who spend more time arguing about why they can't do something than it would take them to do it in the first place.

I second that one and my 3 girls are champions at it

Oh so true. My husband and I do it all the time. Hee Hee. Wouldn't be the same without it. At least we get to know what's bugging each other. What can I say, we are both Scorpios, fiery people.

I manage someone who protests every time she's asked to do something. I joke to her that I will come back once she's done thinking through why she can't do a job, and has thought up how she can. It's a good way to give someone a push without getting crazed.

Sounds like my teaching job only when I come back to them, they have already forgotten what I told them in the first place! Sigh, now you know what I have to deal with daily! Teaching isn't for the faint hearted or the weak.

I have great respect for teaching. I have done stints at college and at high school workshops, and I don't envy teachers one bit. It's much easier for me to do a job than to teach someone how to do it, especially when someone isn't motivated. And the bad thing about students: You can't fire them. Even if you fail someone, you're stuck with them till year end, and geez, what if you fail them and end up with them again. Yikes.
