I just wanted to check with you folks if all these Cydia sources are needed, or whether it's save to deleted some of these :

Best advice is never delete any of the default sources. There is no need.

That's weird...it says that it's required for Cydia?

It's not. Delete it. And a quick review of our rules regarding piracy is also advised ;)

Oh man...seems like I have a knack for posting the wrong questions. Thanks anyway, I'll remove the insanely source...hope it doesn't screw up my JB.

Edit : just checked and apparently FakeClockup needs Insanely. Anyway...I'll leave it be before I screw things up...

If I may:

Daffie, that repo you are using for FakeClockUp is a repo for mainly piracy and pirates. It is NOT a repo on which this forum allows any discussion. Per our rules, any discussion of piracy and related repos, tweaks and apps may lead to removal of posting privileges.

That's what f4780y means when he [oh-so-gently] suggested you (1) read the rules and (2) remove that repo from your iPad.

The good news is that there is a perfectly legit repo for the FakeClockUp tweak: http://hitoriblog.com/apt/. Just add that repo (and delete the bad one). You'll be good to go and you'll not run the risk of having a bad repo on your device.

Thanks for the heads-up...I really *do* need to readup on the rules I guess. Btw I had no idea about hitoriblog repo, otherwise I would never have installed *the other one* for use of Fakeclockup. I'll go ahead now and remove the bad repo and install the correct one.

Edit : my original question did help me in removing some bad and unnecessary stuff from my ipad...with added benefit of Cydia not having too update huge packages e.g. each time it starts up, and often would fail to load some. So I'm glad that I asked...Thanks for the help.

Are there per-operator rules? I read a lot of stuff about iPad jailbreaking but I'm from France and I'm wondering if there are specific French rules I should know.

Wanted to just thank everyone for posting about their JB experiences. A lot of good info here. Was able to do it on my ipad2 in 10 minutes, smoothly.....Thanks!
