I'm looking to download the pen pals app as I'm just lookin to make new friends from across the world
However (yes call me cheap lol) before I pay for the app I thought I'd get some feed back about it
Alternatively I'd welcome suggestions for other apps that will basically do the above
Thanks for taking the time to read this & even more thanks if you post a reply

It was a psychological series written or directed by, and starring, Patrick McGooan? as the prisoner. He was a spy, or similar, held by a criminal. A famous saying was "I am a person, not a number". Patrick was, I think, No 2.

The series achieved a.cult status. I recommend trying Wiki... For the actual facts. My memory ain't that good ;)

Yes, Patrick McGoohan was the face I remember. But absolutely zilch else, including that saying or his number. Perhaps the psychological part switched me off.

But do remember others much more clearly, like The Avengers and The Man from Uncle.

Some Trivia....

When three paths converged and met a nearby tree or boulder would act as a post box to warn or advise of pitfalls ahead or presence of bandits etc. hence, the word tri via, so I'm told by this tree. ;)

In the UK, we call the structures Bandstands.
Now, which of the terms is older? Often the N American words stay true to their roots, while in the UK they develop into newer words. At least that is how I understand things.

BTW, some years ago there was a fascinating series of TV programmes on the spread of English and how the language diversified and changed in different continents.

The development of English is fascinating. Even writing as recent as that of Shakespeare shows marked differences with modern English; go back to Chaucer and it may as well be a different language. One very interesting aspect of Chaucerian English is how similar it becomes to German. The common root of the two langauges is easily seen.

I'll have to contemplate that over a plate of

Are there Klingons in the Battleship Quadrant? Thought they inhabited the Starship Enterprise Regions.

No Klingons this way. And much like you on Earth - we in the rag tag Colonial Fleet see our most cunning adversary every time we look in the mirror.

Thank goodness we've got the Cylons to hang it on. ;)
