The "Anything Goes" thread

No Klingons this way. And much like you on Earth - we in the rag tag Colonial Fleet see our most cunning adversary every time we look in the mirror.

Thank goodness we've got the Cylons to hang it on. ;)

Cylons hanging on the mirrors? Sounds like a cool new trend in the Interiors world.
Klingon sounds so gutteral and about-to-throw-up-bring-the-bucket-pronto-ish! Bit like Danish but more so, and that makes the Klingon Hamlet a most suitable thing to read.
How are you doing with the pronounciation?

The 2012 international canoe federation junior and u23 canoe slalom world championships are in Wausau WI now. There are 3 Olympians here and kayakers from 27 countries. You sit in a kayak and use a double-bladed paddle, and kneel in a canoe and use a single-bladed paddle. The boats look a lot alike.

I was just checking that an acronym I used on a different thread was correct. I was almost right, as I discovered when Googling the meaning.

I found a rather neat site for acronym definitions etc. http://www.acronymfinder.com/HTH.html

Cheers

Thanks for posting that. Had no idea there were so many. I've never known more than a tiny handful of common ones. Will have to be more adventurous...:-)

Just splashed out & bought the new game app "Tiny Wings" from the App store.
Birds are little eager beavers, not angry!
So far, love the colours, the music & the idea.
So far...:-)

All kinds of fun in Wausau this week-end. Kayak championships, balloon rally, BBQ rib fest, chalkfest.

Much needed rain washed out some of the chalk drawings, but most had covered their drawing.

Do you want to do something different this summer? How about being part of a small film? Join us, we're making one this summer! Once a high school senior's life starts to quickly fall apart, he becomes senseless of which path he should take. On top of that, he begins having realistic dreams often, so often that he can't tell the difference between his dreams and reality anymore. His life flips, and so does he.

"Days of Dreams" will be a movie filled with mystery, intensity, and sensation. You will be inspired!

So what can you offer me, Bob Maxey, Producer, Writer, Director, Hand Model and distributor of "Using the TODDCO Hot-Bar Bonder;" Understanding the HAKKO Soldering Station:" Router Setup and Maintenance;" a movie about the Palm Pilot Assembly process: and several new employee orientation films?

Someone like me, with film credits should be paid. How much do you pay? Is there a per-diem?

Sounds fun.
Can anyone come along and just start chalking on an empty space? Or how is that organized?
Perhaps it's a competition?

For Chalkfest you have to sign up and sidewalk squares are assigned. I think there is a small fee and chalks are provided if you need them. I've only participated in the viewing. It's really great every year.

What an interested idea. Would definitely attract me to produce something.

But actually doing it might be tricky; kneeling (?) or squatting down for quite a time. Becoming a temporary down & out, so to speak.

Then choice of subject? A "Pollock" square might be the easiest physically, which would turn it into a piece of performance art too. Multi-tasking par excellence :-)

But, a sudden thought...chalks might not work for Pollocking. Hmmm. Need more ideas here.

Then colours....?
Sigh. Life is just so full of urgent decisions to be sorted :-)

Many of the artists plan all year. They do usually reproduce something - great art, comics, photos, etc. I just found out the fee is $15.

That's me out then. Don't have any $$s at all. Pity :-)

That sounds like a reasonable price. Way better than the $75 they charged at ComicCon Ottawa for an autographed picture with Bill Shatner.
