TIPS AND TRICKS - for those of us who don't know!

Show traffic conditions: Open Maps, press the dog-eared page icon in the lower right, and then turn the Traffic overlay on. If your iPad has an Internet connection, Maps will show real-time traffic conditions in the displayed area. Green means traffic is going at the posted speed limit, yellow means traffic is slower than the posted speed limit, and red means traffic is stop-and-go.
Love this one...this will be great on car trips.

Can someone tell me how these traffic conditions are measured?

Trim up your videos: (hopefully someone finds this useful)

When you're watching a video on your iPad or iPhone you can cut out a selected portion of it and save over the original video or save it as a new clip.
With the video pulled up at the top of the screen where the slider bar is you can press and hold on either end of it and slide your finger towards the middle of the timeline to cut out part of the clip.

enjoy,
80AM

Good tip.

The area must have s series of cameras installed on tall poles that monitor movement and report to Google

In the UK and some other countries too, they use 'buried loop inductors'. These are buried loops of wire set into the road that are connected to some electronics that detects the passage of a vehicle (Geek mode on...the loops are connected to an electronic oscillator that resonates at a particular frequency determined by the inductance of the buried loop. As a car passes over the loop the magnetic inductance changes (increases) as a result of the metallic content of the passing vehicle, which reduces the frequency of the oscillator. This is detected by the electronic circuitry. As a side note, an all plastic vehicle would not be detected because the plastic would not change the inductance of the buried loop. Geek mode off)

Richsadams, the link you mentioned about printing said to double click home key to show running tasks, question is if you want to end running tasks in background, is there a way to do that?

Touch and hold an app, they will start to wiggle, touch the minus sign and the task will close.

Thought shutting down and restarting might refresh, but guess not so it appeared all I was doing was just closing every icon on my screens, but guess I have accessed them and they stay running until you minus it, so guess next thing to ask, is in settings, do we have options to end apps when exiting to home screen?

First post on here..... Are there any apps or ways to print from the iPad to printers that are not Air enabled?

Many makers have free apps Ava able from the app store, I have both brother and canon printers on my network

Just check compatibility for your model

One of the missing options in IOS, I think if you jail break then there is an app or this.
