untethered ipad 4.3 jailbreak?

Hi guys,

Just starting the thread for confirmation / "anyone else see this as well".

Just re-jailbroke my iPad 1 on 4.3 FW using snowbreeze 2.3b1
It seems that I'm able to boot up without the use of iBooty. Has anyone else seen this? I know that untethered JB is expected sometime in the next couple of days but it is a little exciting if it has happened for me. :D

****edit: realized after a n00b moment that it does not load in a JB state sorry guys*****

Yes, you can reboot, but it is not jailbroken in that state. Try running Cydia. It will just crash.
Also, after you install something which depends on mobile substrate you will no longer be able to boot without using iBooty. This was exacly the same under redsn0w for 4.2.1 before it was untethered some months ago.

Hope that helps.

So if you are using ibooty to reboot, it is still untethered?

Nope, having to use ibooty( very funny name, might I add..lol) means that it's still tethered. Because u have to use it every time you reboot to reinstall the jail brake. Untethered means only one time jail braking and you're done. You can reboot as many times as you want and the jail brake sticks and Cydia works. That's why, IMO, tethered method SUX. Untethered is the way to go. One time, and no more worries, like I have on 4.2.1 jail broken with green poison RC6 ;-)

Have u rebooted several times to confirm this? With jailbreak&cydia still working and everything ;-)

Well I really feel like a n00b. Very true that Cydia will just crash. :(
