Weather

Our local weather station just posted on Facebook that my area is under moderate risk for severe weather between today and tomorrow. Main threats being high winds and hailstones.

With a moderate risk, there's a chance that it will not occur. :-) I'll keep my fingers crossed.

That's a striking sequence of photos Kevin. It makes a change to see lightning against a blue sky. Also, I like the starred dazzle effects with the artificial lighting. :)

wooo, thunder storm just hit us,its absolutely crashing down with rain, its gone almost dark as night, mid afternoon here.

Fascinating photos Kevin. The lightning flashes must have been continuous for you to capture them. Or you have the most incredible anticipation:) Looks like they were taken from the cabin of your rig? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
There's an app you can get that will automatically take a picture when lightning flashes. All you have to do is open the app and aim at a likely spot. Here's the app. https://itun.es/ca/IWgpC.i I don't know if that's what Kevin used. We'll have to ask him.

That's the one. iLightningCam.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a copy of the photograph that was doing the rounds yesterday of a tornado touching down on Pigeon Lake. I drove past it a couple of hours too late.
