Is anyone else having the cotton from the cottonwood trees flying in the air right now???

We have the same thing here from the poplar trees. It hasn't started yet, but in areas with a lot of poplars, the air is full of the cotton puffs and they coat the ground.

It's awful and if you have allergies like me, it's just dreadful! I wanted to go for walk the University Campus and didn't get far with all the sneezing I did while outside! Hopefully we are almost done with all this-the cotton is everywhere...car, house, air, etc! Yuck!!

Yes, my part of Austria. Always at this time of the year.

You too, JA? Seems just terrible here, hope it isn't as bad in Austria!

It's not so bad. I think the worst part's already over.
I'm not allergic, that's why I enjoy it. For me it's a sign that there are only a few weeks left to my holidays.

This morning is calm, cool and overcast. It's a welcome change from yesterday's blustery winds and showers.

13°C, overcast, with intermittent showers. It's been raining on and off all day. Here's a cloud view from shortly after sunset.

19° C and cloudy here, but the sun starts breaking through the clouds. We're expected to get 30° C today.

Tomorrow, temperatures should reach 29° C. In the afternoon, rain and thunderstorms are predicted. (I hope that there will be no thunderstorms.)

Was up here this morning, realized it is too late in the year when the thermometer in the car passed 35° C at 9 in the morning so came home. It is a nice cool 26° C back at home, feels like winter

Yes, we (work) used to own property out there and are donating it to a group that will maintain it while letting students come out to study the desert. They will turn it into a museum and return the rest to its natural habitat. It is very beautiful, but very fierce and unforgiving.
