What do you think you'll use your iPad for?

I work on spreadsheets, read, listen to music doing both of those, check email, work on more spreadsheets, do inventory, write some music, read some more books. I also take notes in meetings, plan a project or two, and listen to more music while doing all this.

How much does it cost to replace the screen on my iPad ? I dropped it and it shattered

iRepair Canada quotes a price of $199.00 + taxes. Takes 30-45 minutes. You can probably find a similar service in your area by searching on-line.

Good luck. And welcome to the forum.

I'm browsing with the iPad; planning a break in Paris. We will be going by Eurostar for 3 nights in March to celebrate my birthday.

I've found some great B&B deals on a site specialising in city breaks. My wife, Flora, wants to enjoy the shops, and I the sights and culture. So, I'm using the iPad to check maps, travel site reports etc. I am emailing myself links to useful pages for checking on the PC.

I think I've found the perfect area for hotels near the Louvre and Place Vendome. The prices are good too. :)

Sent from my iPad 1 using iPF - Greetings

I use mine for browsing mainly and streaming films on Netflix and Sky Go.

Recently jailbroken so have started to make use of the emulators available. A bit a retro gaming.

No offence intended here but I ain't a geek. I don't understand half of what you guys are talking about but I hope you enjoy what you do with your iPad/iPad2. For myself, I will use it as a sort of travelling photo and video frame. The thing is, we have 2 separate parts to the family, one down at the English south coast and one (including us) in darkest Lancashire. Both sets of family have young kids growing up so it's good to have photos and videos of them all that we, as the grannies with time to travel, can show around on the larger screen.
I will also use the iPad for the usual stuff such as e-mails and silver surfing, watching movies and listening to Audio books but I had a project going on an Advent Netbook which was writing a book, well I just got me a keyboard for the iPad2 which acts as a screen cover also so I'll be trying to find a way to copy all my current work (typed using Word) on the Advent over to the iPad in such a way that I can add text to it. Maybe convert it all to .pdf format. I haven't figured out the best way to do all that stuff yet.
Cheers,
Steve
