What's new

What I see in my backyard...

I have not took a picture of it but because of the winds cause by super typhoon Yolanda it caused a mini tornado at my backyard.

I was filling the bird feeder and noticed this little black bird at my door. He looks hurt and is a bit tilted. Don't know what to do with him-I hope he gets his bearings and is ok.

Do you think he might have hit a window? I hope he's just stunned. Any cats around? Maybe he just likes your yard! ;)

It seems that he felt better. I check about an hour later and he was gone. So I am hoping he took flight rather became a meal for one of our neighbor cats. :(

Good to hear if he has flown away , might have just got a little stunned from the glazing .

I think he did hit the window. I did hear a few small bangs against the window while upstairs working on a paper. They also get so excited whenever I fill up the feeder with black oiled sunflower seeds! ;) squirrels love it too!

No kidding! Same as here! ;)
Some of the videos I have seen show just how inventive those squirrels can be! Did you know that the squirrels have some virus that is killing all of the chipmunks? We have none left! I miss those little guys!

We've just rescued this little fella from our garden.....he had been sitting in the rain all morning.

He's a young Kookaburra.......we'll keep him warm and safe for a time then take him to a wildlife carer in the area.
