Oh...this looks fabulous! I'd like to go for New Year's Eve...to also celebrate my Birthday!! :)

It all looks magical!

It is magical and it was almost in my backyard......! Don't forget your golf clubs, they have their own fantastic course, you should check out the rest of the website......the duckery, maze, vineyard and grounds are just spectacular!

I have now updated my wish list of things we could have in Michigan...mountains and castles. I think golfing there would be way to distracting for me--playing in such beauty an also history!

The duckery is interesting, I need to check that out also. One of these days I will get there!

Maze? Omg

When you get to the middle you end up in an underground grotto which a staircase leads from to a tower looking out over the rest of the maze.....it's a-maze-ing!

I wish we had more castles in California...
I recently visited Hearst Castle. Not quite as grand as I expected, but that's probably because the family took out all the good stuff before they dumped it on the state. The pools are gorgeous, though, especially the indoor pool... There's gold on the bottom!

That sounds a-maze-ing as you say. Gabe is it open all year round?

It is, I used to have a family season ticket and we went regularly throughout the year.

That definitely sounds worthy of a family season ticket. What about Halloween? Do they do it up there?

They do Halloween Ghost tours of the castle and a few days later they do a Fireworks Spooktacular!

Sounds like Walt Disney but contained in a Castle!!

It kind of is buts it's real, not just fantasy.....they have really worked hard to keep it as it should be, it's in amazing condition for a 900 year old castle!

Yes the history and age certainly beats Disney in that respect.

Well this is very nice to see first thing in the morning, love the balloons and the castle and would love to go through a maze.

I've been up in a balloon, it's an amazing trip and feels like your floating.....a plane even went by above us!

Goofy.....I've been to Hearst Castle too....I loved it all, especially the pools....it was an amazing property, would loved to have seen it in its day when he still had all those animals roaming around.
