What I see in my backyard...

Thanks Ski. We love it, and used it for a few hours yesterday as you imagined. It's great to get away from the radio and TV and to read and enjoy the garden and garden visitors.

My wife was delighted as she could snooze with her feet warmed by the sunshine and her head in shadow.

I see you both spending a lot of time in there during the summer! I was curious about the garden pods and researched it. We have some in Michigan, but more in the shape of small homes. I have never seen a circular one before, which I think is just cool!

Your backyard could be a future place to have an IPF gathering! :)

The last several weeks, I have seen an abundance of red cardinals, robins and blue jays in my backyard. Here are a few pics from my backyard....

This Squirrel is a very happy one. He found a leftover apple core from last season.

We seem to have a variety of different squirrels here. This is a gray one that is perched and looking straight at me!

The Finches first visit to my bird feeder! Welcome back, guys!

Here we have cardinals, morning doves and a red robin. I was pleased to see this robin the first of April, however, Spring didn't come until later!

Great pictures, all those squirrels and birds give you a lot to enjoy while out in your yard.

Not exactly my backyard, but the park at the end of the block.

image-3395606169.webp The muskrats have been busy during the winter. This is one of many such stumps along the creek.

Those are great photos of your visitors, Skimonkey.

Will you be starting up a carving school for the muskrats, Scifan? The example in your photo is neat. ;)

Thank you, Andrew! I do love the cardinals, but just love all the birds in general. They all have such unique markings and coloring on them! It's really hard to have a favorite! Last year, I would have to say my fav bird was the hummingbird! This year, haven't seen any spottings yet, but I continue to refill my feeders!

I do really love looking our my back window or going out onto the patio. It's really peaceful with them hanging out!

I had no idea that muskrats can do such a thing! He cleaned that right off, didn't he??

I don't know how I missed this but I love it, especially the second one where he is looking straight at you.

Thanks, Gabe!!

These little critters are just the cutest things! The gray ones appeared a few years ago and just so funny to watch!

Yesterday, my husband and I were outside on our patio enjoying the warm Spring evening. We were so lucky to see our first sighting of a Hummingbird this season!

That's cool. My mom grew honeysuckle when we were kids and we'd sit nearby in the morning and evening waiting for the show. :)

Lovely hummer. I just got a feeder so I'm hoping I can get some in my backyard too. We don't get many of the cooler hummers here, though, but I'll take what I get.
