No, it's not a patio umbrella. It came that way from the manufacturer. Here's another photo.

It was my Father's 4 footed cane. He used it after he had a stroke.

It's the off-set feet that threw me. But it makes perfect sense since you wouldn't want feet protruding inward to interfere with your gait.

The handle can be rotated 180° to allow for use by either hand.
