What is it?

OK. There is still one question to be answered correctly to solve my challenge. What is the motive power for the clock? I cannot reveal any more of the clock as this would make the answer far to easy to find!

Can't think what else would have been used then unless it's pendulum or water...am not exactly up on this subject:-)

Think post Second World War. It's not water powered. However, the power is supplied from an external source.

Look carefully at the bit of lettering in one photo. Getting the manufacturer's name should help.

This challenge is proving to be interesting. I'm trying to think of clues to edge you folks to the answer. It honk you may need ample time to get there, though ;).
