What is it?

Not lettuce but a salad of sorts. The produce is grated and the orange bits are bits of carrot. It's served as a side.

No, it isn't a printer. However, it was used indoors. It was very trendy in it's time :)

I quickly checked for my challenge object on Google.

It appears this item was produced for the UK Market in the 1960s. I don't think it was exported to, or manufactured in, N America. It was a must have object, iconic in it's own way. We certainly had one in our home.
