No. This device has nothing to do with sound, pictures, radio or television, although at the time I took the photograph, it was in our studio.

The lettering on the dial is a big clue. Notice how you can "change" the dial from one letter to another.

Here's the part of the device that does most of the work.

Is it some kind of cutting device? For holes?
 
No. A lot small things go into that shallow cylinder device that spins fast. The spinning action acts to separate the small things. Knowing that, go back to the dial that "changes"
position, and examine the lettering again.

And for anyone new to the WII challenge, my written information sometimes contains a cryptic clue.
