No. This device has nothing to do with sound, pictures, radio or television, although at the time I took the photograph, it was in our studio.

The lettering on the dial is a big clue. Notice how you can "change" the dial from one letter to another.

No. A lot small things go into that shallow cylinder device that spins fast. The spinning action acts to separate the small things. Knowing that, go back to the dial that "changes"
position, and examine the lettering again.

Amy as scifan guessed it's a coin sorter but the centrifuge is driven by an electric motor so you were on the tight track.
