It's the Swarovski crystal king turtle, issued between 1983 and 1998. It was only sold in the USA and Canadian markets. It is 3&rdquo; long.

I believe I have the same years as your wife with the snowflakes also. They are beautiful pieces including the one for 2012 also!

Love Swarovski crystals and that they are limited editions. One of my favorites is the owl.
