What's new

What music are you listening to right now!?!?

You would think. Can't have a documentary about Bowie without covering the 'Spiders From Mars' years. Which means viewers should be treated to some Mick Ronson moments too.

Apparently there is new footage not previously seen before, it should be great. I got to see him on the Glass Spider tour and despite it being many years after "the golden years" he performed all the classics and it was GRRRRRREAT!

Saw Bowie only once, at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, in the 80s. It was the 'Serious Moonlight' tour. Some great opening acts during the day including
'Peter Gabriel' and 'The Tubes'.

I only have one record with David Bowie on it, and I'll admit buying it for the cover:

I think I've only ever done that once, and turned up "Boston - Third Stage". To this day, I've no idea why I bought it, but it's become one of my must-have albums.

Some good tunes there, MadChef. Managed to miss seeing both groups live, but I did manage to get to a Rick Wakeman concert once.

Antenne Bayern are playing Foreigner's Cold as Ice right now, which is the first single I ever bought.

Listening to a local band called The Lazy MK's.

Here's some videos from other performances.

Rick Wakeman featured in the David Bowie documentary last night (which was brilliant). I've seen Pink Floyd a number of times, the first (at Wembley Stadium) I went to not because I wanted to but because friends had tickets that they couldn't sell, so I went along expecting to be bored but found myself blown away by an incredible gig.

Michael Schenker Group - Armed and Ready

Lights Out (live version) UFO

The mad axman himself playing Doctor Doctor

(more michael Schenker with UFO)

I missed these as I was catching up on the posts!

I've seen both MSG and UFO, they are incredible and a great UFO album for anyone who wants to hear them at their best is Strangers In The Night. Of course it's impossible to mention Schenker without talking about the Scorpions, how about the line from World Wide Live "California.....we are gonna rock you like a hurricane"!
