What's new

What music are you listening to right now!?!?

Rick Wakeman featured in the David Bowie documentary last night (which was brilliant). I've seen Pink Floyd a number of times, the first (at Wembley Stadium) I went to not because I wanted to but because friends had tickets that they couldn't sell, so I went along expecting to be bored but found myself blown away by an incredible gig.

I was trying to think of how to mention that documentary, Gebe. Yes it was brilliant.

When some of the old band members were interviewed, it was hard to think that they were in rock bands.

Carlos Alomar is highly gifted, IMHO.

Not yet seen it, but have the CD, and it's thousand times better than the movie.

The movie is way too long for me to cope with but despite the concert Blu-Ray being quite long itself, it did keep me interested and more importantly.....awake!

I can imagine that.
I like the music. It's way better if sung by trained voices.

Oops! Sorry! Just saw I have this version:

Your voice is trained?

Nope, that is the 10th anniversary one, the one I posted is the 25th anniversary.

I was being a bit flippant with my comment about my voice being trained.....another poor attempt at humour on my part. I have performed but I'm neither trained nor am I capable of singing that kind of music!

Debussy: Nocturnes, from Stéphane Denève Conducts Debussy on Chandos SACD. A fabulous 2-disc set from the county library. I'm listening to the Redbook layer, as I don't do SACD, and it's simply delicious.

Ok folks. Just a reminder, this thread is not for upping your post count so please, no more posts with just a title and band, this is a discussion thread so we want to hear about those artists and to talk about them, any non-productive type posts will be removed without any further notice.

What we do want to hear about is your favourite music, artists, concerts, etc.

Enjoy the thread and let us know what makes your ears twitch!
