The ratio is something like 25 energy : 38 confetti. I usually wait until I have 20 energy then go tap-tap-tap. This way I have improved chances of getting doubles, or maybe it is just my imagination.
Btw, autocorrection here is hilarious. I've just found and eliminated the word "uterus" in this post.

I have gotten many doubles. I have found that if I pace myself tapping the confetti and collecting 3-4 coin collections, then the next tap is a double. Try it, it doesn't always work but it defiantly increases the odds.

If you maintain that average you will definitely get at least a medium prize each time. However, I'm not sure it will help you much :-(

Bells come rarely in each drop apparently, yet in total 70 are needed across both quests. 7 days x 3 slots of 8 hrs = 56 max if it's one per drop.

(Note all calculations to date assume nobody sleeps at any point thereby losing one of the slots or missing energy!)

If you achieve the quests (or if anybody else does come to that) without having to buy to complete I would be very interested to hear.

If I achieve it I will also post here (although I won't hold my breath!)

So far I since I have started the quest I have,

I med gift then a small gift (while sleeping) then another med gift. And a couple hrs will get another med.

So two med and one small I have 5 bells, 12 flags, two party invites, and a 20 min upgrade reduction.

So my goal is to do one confetti for a small gift overnight while I sleep. And collect 200 for the medium gift two times for the other 16 hours in the day

Did you get more than one bell in the medium drop?

Medium gift supposedly gives you MINIMUM 2 Bells. That is why it says "+2"
Theoretically you might get more than 2, practically -- don't hold your breath.

So far I got 4 medium gifts and collected a few confetti for the small one I will open in the morning. So, 8 bells and 20 flags plus some junk. I need to collect 52 more bells. It is impossible to complete the event without large gifts. Even if you manage to build the WH, upgrading is out of question. Typical lame design.

So I'm on a family vacation for the next 8 days and was thrilled to hear the cabin we are staying at had wireless Internet. We get in last night only to find out this guy has so many blocks set up I can't use my port or compete in the contests (we can't stream our Netflix videos either!) so, I guess I won't be filling my port or anyone else's for the next week. I'll just have to stick to the daily long and short task and collecting coins hoping to make it to that 7 mil...I'm at 6.2 right now!

Slightly confused with the confetti thing... Last night I saved up enough for a medium prize before heading to bed. Overnight the 8 hours expired but it appears I didn't receive anything, and when I opened up this morning the counter simply reset to 8 hours and I got nothing for my previous collection. Has anyone else experienced this? It renders the whole thing pretty pointless if you can't actually collect your prize if you happen to not be at the ipad at the exact expiry time.

Check your inventory, it appeared that this happened to me too but I think if you don't collect, it auto collects for you. At least for me my bells and other stuff was in my inventory. But most of the time yes I click to collect.

Thanks GAB, yes it appears I do have a new prize in my inventory, but no additional bells or flags that I should have got. They certainly don't make things easy!

Déjà vu. This is a bug. We had a similar one last Christmas. Submit a ticket ASAP and hopefully they will reimburse you. Keep in mind that they will read your message on Monday.

I put a ticket to GI last night (very non threatening) and got an immediate response that they were looking into the "permanent change to the happenness s requirements." If enough complain (nicely), maybe they will reconsider faster.
