I don't want to be mean, in my younger days I would of ripped them a new a..h... But since I have matured, I will try the nice path. I think they will realize that new buildings requiring happiness will not be bought for city credits anymore. There plan is for us to buy objects to increase happiness which does not help with producing goods. I am patient enough to wait it out. I am near the next level of happiness (200k) to see if I can add another factory by one beyond what I can place now. I will keep you posted on this.
BTY, I started Megapolis, enjoying it so far. My city name is Strom town. How can I add you as a friend?

I myself did not complain, nicely or otherwise and I am not planning to. My response is simple: not buying city credits anymore, period.
No idea how to add you in Megapolis. I guess f-book is the only option but I don't use it. Yesterday spent some money on Istanbul architecture, built Hagia Sophia as my prize for building all other structures.

24 credits (4*6), did it only to complete the Large Gift quest. I leveled up while collecting confetti and my bar was fully recharged -- extra 25 energy. You need 5 full energy bars in addition to what you would normally have in 8 hour interval in order to get a large gift.
Got 5 bells instead of 2. Do NOT replenish energy for the bells though because 1 bell is 5 credits so you can buy 3 for 15 if you want to build the WH but don't have enough bells.

I contacted apple today about the issues with the new update and they agreed it was unfair and now that I am unable to use my purchases the rep refunded all he could to me for what I spent on the game. I have in iTunes Store credit alone $275 and about double that going back to my Visa. They agreed that the game has changed significantly by the description I gave and all I had to explain via chat was that my purchases were now useless unless I spent more money and I thought it was unfair for all of the senior players to be punished for an update. The apple itunes support person agreed and said he would refund all of my purchases that he could for Big Business. I hate that a game I have loved has such horrible customer service that we as customers have to go to apple in order to be compensated. I hope GI realizes what they've done and will fix it for those that will keep playing. I would have to see a major update to the happiness issue to play the game any longer. I will keep my eyes open for an update but I am sure GI will have me on the restrictions list lol

That's for the update. I have a battery left over from prior events and I am close to leveling. So that's 2 full energy bars. And I do have 30 credits I have been saving from the weekly Facebook and port. I may try it tomorrow.

So this is the biggest own goal I have seen. I have spent a fair amount of the money on this game, the vast majority of this money was on buildings that boost my population, the opportunity to swap factories in and out was very appealing but the strategy was always about the number of active factories... So now the game has changed considerably, I have no appetite or desire to buy the population buildings, I'm on 196k pop and need 1.6 million. I am better off leaving the factories I have and swapping ten in and out as necessary. My buying credit days have gone....OWN GOAL GI, OWN GOAL. NO more cash from me.!!

It looks like the update did something about the elusive rulers. I didn't want to say anything before unless it was a one off but they have been appearing regularly and since updating I have collected 8 rulers.
It should be noted that I am still at the 'collect suitcases' stage (for what seems like an age) and have managed to collect just one!
Seems glitches still exist in the collection tasks :-(

Hi there, quite new to this game and must say thank you for all the useful tips posted on here, please do not all leave the game just as I am getting started! This change to the rules also affects us lesser mortals lower down the process as we will not have a chance to use the storage facilities at all, seems to me the provision to place buildings in storage is now defunct but I mat be wrong.
Had been looking forward to the special tasks but this seems impossible despite playing almost 24/7!

I have been late for the cannon a couple of times. 1st time collected confetti, DO NOT do this as you will lose your prize. 2nd time cannon was still there waiting to be fired even though I was about two hours late. After I fired up the eight hours started from then. This could be useful for anyone who does not like their firing times or to get a extra medium collection but please do not rely on this info as I may have just been lucky.
Thank you kiwi have added you as a friend, not allowed to send any gifts at present, would still like anything to help build the Blackpool tower please.
