They are probably slammed with complaints by now. I seriously doubt they will be able to restore each game completely (if they manage to figure out how to restore). Some progress will be lost.

My game is still in order but I will not be playing much the next few days. I may just let it sit till the week end and see what happens. I hope that GI gets their heads out of the sand and at least post something to let us all know what happened and what is being done about it. I know the last couple of days I have had a lot of crashes doing different things. I know I tapped on the new icon to see what they were selling and nothing happened. So it seems like it a random thing. I play on my iPad and have not updated to the new ios7 and I have the latest version of the game. I hope they get it fixed soon for all who have lost their games. Gee now that I just got caught up on the posts, I'm afraid to close this forum and go back to the game. I guess if anyone still has their game intact make an iPad backup to the cloud. That way if you do lose your game you can restore it. On the time zone change and cheating, first I disable auto time update. I also shut down the game before I make any time changes.

I just checked my rating. Lost all Experience, but my Wealth and Friends are still there.
Also noticed those "luxurious" players like RussiaWorld and Mockba are no longer listed. They must have spent bundles of real cash for those fancy buildings. GI may be facing legal wraths if they don't restore soon.
Not professional at all.

I have a feeling of déjà vu...
I had to reinstall BB. A couple of months ago and ended up back at level 1. I had to supply GI with all the details to prove who I was in the game and eventually they were able to reconnect my app to the game saves that they have stored on their servers. There were 10 saves, with dates and times of checkpoint saves when it was automatically saved over the internet onto their server. For example, every time you close the app down, a checkpoint save is created.
I'm guessing (and it is only a guess) that they've had some sort of server outage. As they most likely have many servers, not everyone will be affected. There won't be any particular reason for our woes (forget the offer button, and forget iOS 7) other than the server on which they were stored has gone down.
We can hope that the information still exists somewhere, and that they will sort out the problem. However, it took me two weeks to get back to where I was so if many people are affected we could be looking at a long wait before we get back to normal.

My Game went back to level 1 from level 68, the same as the rest of you, but I mange to restore my city to level 67.
I hand back it up 6 days before the crash, which is why I'm on level 67 and not 68 and lost all the builting I built during that time.
I hope this help some of you out there.
- You have to had back up your ipad on itune on a computer (I don't know if the icloud back up will backup what is needed)
- wipe the ipad (reset to factory setting - Settings-General-reset-Erase all content and settings)
- On itune restore ipad

I too received this message. Found the crash report but haven't a clue how to attach it to an a mail reply and have now lost their message. Anybody know how to send the crash report?

Just popped in to see if anyone else was experiencing something weird with the ports this morning - I suddenly had friends whose cities had diminished to a minuscule size, were on very low levels, had no road connections to their ports, and yet seemed to be able to fill containers...
And I discover all this has happened overnight! :-o
My game seems intact, so far - I did click on an icon, can't remember which one but probably the Sale icon, and the game re-started, but fortunately for me nothing had changed. This truly is about the luckiest I have ever been with this game (since GI are always telling me I'm just plain unlucky most of the time). I'm now backing up my iPad to iTunes, as suggested earlier in this thread, just in case...
My heart goes out to all of you who have experienced resets; I hope they manage to get this sorted out for you, it must be absolutely galling for many of you, and especially people who've invested in the game (in fact, if they don't resolve the issue or offer any compensation, I'd send your credit card statements and a formal complaint to GI and to Apple!).
Fingers crossed it gets fixed soon. As somebody suggested, maybe it's a GI server issue and they'll be able to restore you all to your former glory.

I am still playing, I jumped from 47 to 26th place for experience and down to 8th place from 15th for precision. Looks like about 20 of the top players including Mockba are reset.
