Food anyone?

There I was shopping today and I picked up a packet of my favourite biscuits, Lotus Biscuits when lo and behold, what should I discover but this.....

Would just love some of this.

Caramelised biscuits sounds absolutely deelish. I will always overlook my biscuits, slices etc .... just tastes nicer!

Ah, that is a good question, hmm, why yes, I think it may but you have now given me another idea......Lotus biscuit spread MIXED with condensed milk.......Heston, you had better watch out my friend, I feel that my own Michelin star worthy restaurant and series of best selling cookery books is now in the offing!!

Hmm, where to start, well the biscuits themselves are caramelised, which I believe is chef speak for burnt! So, the biscuits have that slightly overlooked taste that miraculously makes them a sweet crunchy eat. The crunchy part of the spread is the lotus biscuit, so not only does the spread itself taste exactly like the biscuits it also appears to have the biscuits crunched up into it........so it's kind of like crunchy peanut butter but tasting of biscuits instead.

Does that make any sense?

I've added those biscuits to the shopping list. I've never seen them before.
I'm hoping our local Sainsbury or Waitrose stock them.

The 'biscuits' you're discussing ... they would be 'cookies' in Canada?

Only if biscuits are cookies in Canada......over here they are most definitely biscuits, unless they are a biscuit spread! We tend to think of cookies as round biscuits with chocolate chips, etc baked into them.

Chocolate sugar cookies and tea. :)
