lol Thank you. I see so many good layouts on other farms I'm not sure how I should decorate mine. ScrappyLucie and Hoai Xuan come to mind. They have some nicely decorated farms. They remind me of Greg's farm.

Wow, glad to finally find a discussion thread for Hay Day - wish I would have found it back when I started the game!

Wanted to respond to a few issue I see coming up several times in the thread.

fruit trees & bushes. l only harvest them until they are mature & then regard them as decorative. They add lots of color to your farm and considering that you do get a few harvests out of them, they are inexpensive decoration.

The mine - if you haven't opened it yet, I wouldn't spend the money. There always seems to be lots of ore for sale. Just buy the smelter.

Foxes - could be my imagination, but seems to me that when I see a fox as I visit other farms looking for materials for expansion that there will also be a tool box to open ( fox/box)

Anyone know if there is a max on capacity for barn &/or silo? I'm at 350 on both, but always seem to be close to capacity.

Does everyone have only silver, gold & platinum bars on their bullies board? Forces me to do most of my selling through the roadside stand. Those who walk up always seem to want either something I don't have, or something I am trying to accumulate for the boat.

I filled two bulletin board orders for 2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 platinum bars. I also filled a order for 3 platinum bars. I'm working on a order for 5 silver bars.

Checking through the data folder in Hay Day app you will find almost all the info you want, and they are all stored in CSV format. So Both silo and barn have a capacity up to 1000 each.

What else did you find looking through the files? I bet you can learn a lot reading those files.

Why is Greg still level 30?

I just found this thread so it may be a little late

I'm playing HD on my iPad2 and I WAS playing HD on my iPod Touch 4g both with the same GC name UNTIL the game on my iPod started me back at level 1. This happened to me on July 2nd. I deleted HD and reinstalled on my iPod plus signed out of GC and signed back in and still the same thing.

So no you can't have the same GC name and play HD on two devices and they become friends.

My husband and I both have I pad's and we play under the same game center account and we are friends in this game, however we went thru Facebook to find each other. Hope this helps someone

I used to WATCH building items being sold at my stall. But suddenly (since yesterday), items don't sell at allor veeery slooow... Building materials mostly. They used to ALWAYS sell. anyone else experiencing that, or is it just getting slower the higher level you are? I'm on 27.

1. Have your barn almost full (one or two open slots)
2. Visit a friend who is listed 3rd or 5th last in your friend list (I have over 100 friends)
3. Open mystery box and visit the same friend again by having the friend list open.
4. Visit the same friend again and again. The mystery box seem to be there allways, but not allways giving good stuff. In the end the box is locked.
5. Repeat after like 24 hours..

Here is a sample I have gathered this week, while selling a ton of building materials. Just ordered 5th smelter..

I don't understand.. if your barn only have two free space, how could you gather more than two building materials?

It's a glitch. Like this one I recently experienced.

If you open a mystery box and your barn is full, the box item is still added to your barn. Which is nice you dont lose the mystery box item by having your barn full.

Note, if you fill your barn like i have with 150 over the barn max limit, you need to be prepeared to sell most of your barn items to get below the limit once again. This slows your leveling a bit as you cant empty the production buildings while barn is full to fill orders.

Wow. Nine is a big number.
If I'm not mistaken, the standard machine comes with two queue slots, and it needs 6 diamonds to open the third slot. The fourth needs 9, fifth 12, ...

...somebody please remind me of those arithmetic (or geometry?) progression rules...

Okay, got it:
arithmetic progression of number of diamonds needed in machinery queueing slot is:
a(n) = 3(n-1)
with n = nth queue slot
and a(n) = number of diamonds

...but it starts with n = 3; I'm not sure how to write the correct equation...
(meaning: the first expansion, of third slot, needs 6 diamonds)

So the total number of diamonds needed to fully expand one machine up to the ninth slot will be... 105?!

...why would you want to capture foxes? Will they randomly pick items for you?

105 diamonds on every machine!!!!! There is no way I received that many diamonds throughout the whole time I've been playing!! I'm on level 28, had a hard time getting this far!

Well, now I know the exp porints needed at each level, what kind of stuff I'm gonna get at each level, fields expand by 3 every 2 levels, and at level 42 you get 3 sheep pastures,
at level 37 you get spicy pizza, at level 50 you need 157000 to levelup, but that's currently the very last level anyone could get to.
About the slots... A smelter, which originally needs 9500 coins, increase by 9500 at every purchase. 22000, 31500, 41000, 50500. So basically you need 157500 in total to get all the 5 smelters.
A hammermill has 3 three slots at first. 1 for a smelter. The other machines have 2 slots. 9 slots in total. You can do the math.
