If you are new, please post an introduction thread.

Hi everybody. Just bought myself a brand new iPad 4 today and you know what ? I found this great site.
That's a great start .. Yeah? iPad is a first for me although I have been using an iPhone for the last 3 years.
Hope I can pick up a lot of iPad stuffs from you guys. Cheers

Hello, I've had my I!pad for over a year now......Love it! However I know there is so much more I can learn about it. I just purchased a new wireless printer (brother TN-210 series). How do I set up my IPad so I can print from this printer?

Hi there and welcome to you all.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, etc. and iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the forum rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

These are the hacking section rules for all you jail breakers (and would be jail breakers) http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-hacking/2892-hacking-section-rules-please-read.html

We also have an app for this forum. The link to download the app is: Discussion Forum for iPad Users for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store

You can download the manual for your iPad here http://help.apple.com/ipad/6/ and here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for iOS 4, 5, 6, etc.

If you have other Apple products or are interested in other Apple kit then why not join our sister forum too at http://www.appleforums.net/ and for iPhone users, come and join in the discussion over at http://www.iphoneforums.net

Check out iTunesU, as there are lots of courses on there which you can download and watch at your leisure. After that, you might want to turn to the iBooks Store for books on programming for iOS.

I tried iTunesU early on in my pursuits with this device and found nothing but fury and frustration with sights that did not stream well ,video that crashed and sputtered. Not to mention boring monotone. You have inspired me to try again and see if it will play in an acceptable stream with puffin.Any other ideas on how to watch itunesU that works?

I'm afraid that I'm completely confused here, iTunesU is a free app from the App Store, what you download from the iTunesU Store is played in the app, no streaming required. Here is the link to the iTunesU App

Hello, I am writing this as my introduction thread. I am a network admin for a community college. I am mostly working with wireless these days though I still occasionally configure switches. Our hard line network is composed of Juniper equipment and our wireless network is Aruba. Because of the trend toward BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) I am learning how to support any wireless device. We serve many apple products and particularly since the upgrade to iOS6, we have been having connectivity issues. I have asked for a couple of years, but only recently did the school obtain an iPad for me to work with. I look forward to getting to know the forum community and hope to be a viable member.

Thanks for the assistance finding the manuals, saved me some searching. I am relatively new so appreciate any and all help. Technology is changing so rapidly that is near impossible to know as much as is needed to provide for the needs of the users.
Thanks again,

Thanks for the Welcome...are you a pilot? I was a maintenance test pilot for the military. I flew mostly helicopters but some fixed wing time too.

Not a pilot but I do follow aviation as a hobby.
I've spent time in (military helos) as a reporter.
The Bell CH-135.

The CH-135 was a "N" Twin Engine Huey, if my memory serves me. I got out in '81'. I flew most of the other model Huey's, 58's, and Cobra's. I did get a manufacturer's check out to fly the Apache to test the "Hellfire" system just before the Army bought the Apache and I had the opportunity to fly the prototype to the "Black Hawk". I miss flying sometimes.
