this is getting very frustrating. i know the dev team is doing everyone a favour, and they're jailbreaking for free, but when i bought my ipad 2, i never thought it would take this long to get it.

again, i'm not blaming anyone, but just voicing the frustration i think a lot of people here are facing.

I'm sure the dev's are a little frustrated themselves that it's taking so much extra work to jailbrake the iPad 2, it would have been nice if you could use the same jailbrake method for all devices but Apple has to go and spoil all the fun. I'll be holding out a little longer as I prefer untethered jailbrakes but that's my problem

Yes. I can confirm these guys made a video saying they are going to release another video showing you how to jailbreak an iPad2.
I have no doubt they will release that video just as soon as Comex and his friends finish the actual jailbreak and they download it and video the results...

I see no mention of this on the Twitter accounts of p0sixninja, MuscleNerd, or i0n1c. I also don't see it on the Green Poison or Dev-team sites. Unless you're referring to the video they posted in the beginning of March. Where are you getting your news from?

I had to delete the video above. The guy spammed it across several posts in the forum and it was fake rubbish... 4 guys telling us how they have jailbroken the iPad2 and are about to release a video of it! LOL

Totally agree with the sentiment as a developer myself lancejt.

Since we are all bored of waiting for the Jailbreak, now would be a good time for everyone to familiarise themselves with the hacking section rules, as well as the other useful stickies we have in this section. Not saying that any of the rules have been broken yet, but you've got nothing better to do if you're just waiting, right?

There is a huge distinction between jail-breaking and getting a free ride.

Jail-breaking is the ability to make far more use of a very impressive piece of tech than what Apple would allow us, and to give us the freedom of our devices. It should not translate solely to a free-for-all, hop on, hop off ride.

ok,please no take me wrong. from my ipad1, i can transfer my app that i purchased in appstore to my ipad2,right? i'm not saying i cannot afford buy an app pal, but for me jailbreak is about maximize effort from the pad. i'm not into coding,but surely know how to appreciate else real work

You can have the same Apple ID activated on five computers, and each computer/iTunes can sync with an unlimited number of iOS devices. So there isn't actually a limit to how often the same app can be used.

heh, i'll have you i own both both angry birds AND rio! i want jailbreak so i can ssh my save files onto the ipad haha. i didn't back up progress the "straight" way. what i REALLY want is to have backgrounder and multiflow back, not to mention retinapad.

i will say that i'm not one of those people who wastes money like water. the program mentioned is damn good for trying apps that don't have a free version but actually suck. iswifter for example. if i had jailbreak, i'd have tried that and never in a million years considered buying it.

exactly my point started with iRanger on the first pages of this thread.

however, i was told my comment was idiotic and I also received a warning for telling iRanger to "please shut up" in case he installed many paid apps for free on his jailbroken device, on which he didn't even have the guts to respond to.

I guess he's was busy being "unrestricted" and exchanging files via bluetooth with nokia phones and sending mms messages from his iphone 4.
