Sending it back in DFU mode would probably be better than jailbroken I guess. I appreciate both of your responses. I guess I will have to deal with that issue when it comes back.

The iPad2 is not JB, yet.
He did. But something about the way in which he did it made it so that it couldn't be released to the public. The only news we've heard since then hasn't been promising. Not to be a pessimist...
I mean.. I think it was p0sixninja who said they were dumping the bootrom. When someone asked why they would be focusing on the bootrom is there wasn't a bootrom exploit, p0sixninja called him an idiot and said, "remember that hash I posted?" or something. But if they haven't been able to access the bootrom, how would they already have a hack for it? I feel as though it was a legitimate question. It took several years for them to find SHAtter and jailbreaks still happened. It just seems like they're putting the cart before the horse, but what do I know

But, now I'm glad I resisted. I would be extremely un-happy with an un-jail broken iPad after getting so used to it being jail broken!

)its a fantastic device and i love it
but im so used to having my idevice jailbroken.. so it is a bit lame, i'd admit that.im really hoping for a jailbreak soon ... lets find out where comex lives and steal his harddrive, maybe he is hiding a jailbreak for the iphone 5 release ?

Let's put it this way. I have an iPad 1 and an iPad 2 at home, and I find myself reaching out for the iPad 1 a lot more. Sure, the iPad 2 has better hardware, but it's not like most apps support the extra horsepower. The only thing that will possibly utilize the extra juice is things like backgrounder, multiflow etc. In terms of device handling, the experience is almost identical. But one has all the extra little tweaks. So for a month now, I'm wondering if the money I spent was worth it.
