I've seen that before. If you start a post and then leave the thread before posting the site saves a draft. The draft remains until you either clear it manually, or post something to the thread. Klick on the disk icon (fifth from the right) to manually save or delete your draft.

I have considered that and thats why I have also included my own post in the screenshot. I have already posted it and it still comes back.

Hey, Z, once you have logged in on Tapatalk , you can go and " play around " on the web IPF, you can choose to stay logged in on Tapatalk, and when or if you want to go to the web version to see posts or give somebody something other than a like just know this! You are automatically signed into the web version. I switch between the two for that reason as well as to take baby steps when I have time and energy to explore the new version. Please don't go away! If this confused member can begin to understand it - I have no doubts you will like it , even as you learn!
I agree with Col Bris, it is intuitive and cleaner once you get the hang of it. So stick around and entertain us as you always have! xx diane/squib.

No ideas then. It must be something different than what I experienced after all. Clearing cookies will probably stop it, but at the expense of having to log into all your sites again.

I said earlier that I would make a Tapatalk tutorial if anyone was interested. Some were interested, so I've posted here:

http://www.ipadforums.net/index.php?threads/Using-the-Tapatalk-App-In-Lieu-Of-the-IPF-App.122426/

It's a work in progress (I'm posting as I finish sections). But - I've got enough posted that you can get ideas on how to access this forum using an app built specifically for a forum.

Hope this helps.

Marilyn

Thank you Marilyn. I don't have time to go through it all now, but it looks to be very thorough. I've tucked the link away for future perusal, and sharing with others when needed. :D

I picked up TapaTalk a few days ago and set it up; but have not explored all that it can do.

Thank you! I'm one of the complainers and this is really helpful. Up to now I've thought Tapatalk was a waste but with these instructions it may work out well. It looks like I can solve many of my complaints about Tapatalk. I still miss the app!

Thank you Marilyn for this very informative tutorial for all of us. I have used tapatalk after you recommended it a few years ago and do go back to it often. One thing I didn't realize is the photo and word editing. Didn't know that! Oh, and I didn't realize that we now have the multi-quote feature...or was it there all this time and I didn't know? :)

Great job--looking forward to the next addition.

We have upgraded iPadForums.net to a complete new forum platform. The new site will have additional features and work very well from a desktop, mobile device, or tablet without the need of an extra app. We are still working out the bugs and it will probably be a few days before things are running 100%. Please let us know if you are having any issues or problems with the site.

Thanks!
Hi Dan, looks a great site but when I tried to log in for the first time, it would not accept my username. When I looked at it I realised that the problem is caused by the use of the Spanish letter ç. I managed to log in using my email address hence I am able to communicate.
Is it possible to change my username to say, mesqueunclub without losing my posts and good friends I have made along the way?
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks Marilyn. I've been using Tapatalk since joining the forum in 2012, and today I learned a couple of new things. Very nicely detailed work:)

Edit: Never mind. My question was answered in another thread.

Out of curiosity, is that because the forum would not accept the ç in your user name, or because you could not type the ç?

On both the Mac and the iPad, a long press of the 'c' letter gives you the option to type "ç, ć, or č. But you probably already knew that.

And, of course, you can always enable and use the Español keyboard.

BTW, your username does not show up with the spanish ç when I see it on the forum.

THANK YOU for changing to Xenforo! Much better than vBulletin and more user friendly. I'll probably start visiting more often now that you've done the software upgrade.

It's nice to see a forum where the admin / moderators actually care about the user experience. GREAT job guys :)
