Those are great photos of the clouds, zstairlessone. Huge expanses of sky can bring out some of the best views of clouds, IMHO.

At the moment we have 12° C and rain.

My village had planned to organize a national park festival yesterday and today. It was cancelled because of the weather conditions.

They can hold it outside my house if they want, it's sunny and dry with a predicted high of 18C!

The clouds are actually smoke from a huge fire just cresting the hill coming towards town. In a couple of them if you look at ground level you can see the flames through the smoke. Those were taken about 10:30 in the morning (yesterday as it is now just past midnight).

It is pretty close. The two back roads through the canyon are hard closed - no traffic at all, a couple of side roads only open to residents in the immediate area. If it isn't contained it is coming in and may arrive in 2 to 3 days.
