zstairlessone said:It is pretty close. The two back roads through the canyon are hard closed - no traffic at all, a couple of side roads only open to residents in the immediate area. If it isn't contained it is coming in and may arrive in 2 to 3 days.
Edit: updated 4 hrs ago, Cal fire info

Can't see past about a quarter mile (0.4 km) and everything smells like smoke. The fire is now at 19,500 acres and growing.
Support equipment currently in use:
Dozers: 7
Engines: 93
Helicopters: 8
Air Tankers: 8 including DC10
Water Tenders: 12
975 persons actively battling this monster
Going for gasoline (fill the tank in perpetration) in about 20 minutes.
Thank you for posting km and ° C!
Is the fire coming near more quick than expected?
It was hoped to be somewhat under control by now, yesterday morning when I took those pictures it was at 3475 acres so it has grown by almost 6x since then. With the sun coming higher into the day the sky is taking on a decidedly orange tint.

Something like this has never happened before there.
That looks terrible Johanna, is this widespread or restricted to a specific area?
The Archangel
In general: the other side of Austria (Vorarlberg, Tirol, Salzburg) and along the Danube.
Apple Maps App helped me out here. You've just got to feel for those people caught up in this, it must be devastating.
