This being my first iPad, I forgot that it could be updated, too. I'll probably do it within the first week. I'll be selling my iPhone4S so I won't do it. Previous experience has taught me that they sell better if they don't have the newest iOS loaded.

Wait a day or so, mostly because of the traffic. No hurry that I see. Am curious to see how maps
will work since I use Google maps all the time, even in lieu of my GPS apps. Might not need GPS app if it works as they state.

I have "unjailbroken" my iPad 2 in anticipation of the new iOS. Thanks to the instruction that many have provided here, I had absolutely no problem restoring to factory settings! I think jailbreaking had many advantages over a stock iPad and look forward to it again after the update. So, yes...I'm updating as soon as it comes out!!

(I just found out on another thread that the jailbreak for iPad 2 won't be available for awhile. I'm patiently waiting...lol)

Yep, as far as we know. I'm excited, although I probably won't get to it until Friday, as I still need to download the iTunes update and do another backup, AND THEN I need to actually download the update, which will take a few hours on my connection (I plan on loading it overnight). Then I need to restore my data, settings...

I have a job interview at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning and then the rest of the day is mine. As soon as I get home, I plan to start the update.

All you'll have to do is keep your eyes peeled in the direction of Canada. If you don't see a rising mushroom cloud, you can assume the update went well.
