The boards are so quiet these days. Figured staying silent wasn't helping the cause! How is everyone liking the new update? I'm mixed about it. Can never find the materials to upgrade my town. Not to mention needing to clear space to even put a building down. Guess they want us to have to use diamonds to really get it up and running.

Hello! Yes it is very, very quiet, I guess the neighbourhood chat is to blame for that! I also have mixed feelings about the update. On the one hand, it's good to have something to aim for - once you've got all the production buildings and animals there isn't much more to do - so I'm enjoying the fact that there are lots of new buildings to work up to. On the other hand, they have made it so that a lot of the new materials are really scarce and it will take ages to gather them all together to upgrade.

However, I'm starting to get my head around how the new town works, and it is running more smoothly. For example, now that I have my personal train, I am only picking up visitors from friends who are at a lower level than me, so that they can't ask for something that I can't produce. Also, I now pick them up before seeing what my own visitors want. I made the mistake of picking someone up after all my slots were full, so I had to send them away.

I have upgraded to two slots on grocery store, cinema and diner, and am trying to work out whether it is better to upgrade those further, or to upgrade station, personal train or town hall. It's all pretty academic at the moment, because I don't have the materials. I think when Tom has a special offer next, I'll hire him for some of the materials.

The other thing I don't like, is the fact that shovels have become so rare!

I feel like all the mining materials are rare these days! I think I'm getting the hang of the town although there are more things I don't like about it than the things I do at this point. Happy farming!

I don't know about neighborhood chat either. Don't belong to any of the groups. Guess my farm must be really remote. I'm living off the grid! Lol As far as upgrading. I can't upgrade land, Pond, or the town. I NEVER get deeds. My mine would be best mining cob webs as I never get dynamite or shovels either. I just keep plugging along. Saving my diamonds. What's the sense on using them......the game just keeps going, it's not a competition. I've been at it for over a year now.

Since the town-update, I've had diamonds vanish ..twice! I've had the 'reconfirm' setting for using diamonds for months...so I know that I didnt use diamonds accidentally...unless the town or train lacks the reconfirm requirement.. Now I'm losing crops too!

That's a pain! I don't know if the diamond reconfirm button works in the town - too nervous to try! I know it doesn't work on the boat, as I have accidentally used a whole heap of diamonds to fill a crate.

The diamond confirm button DOES work in town. I used it on something a few days ago and was promoted to confirm if I wanted to spend the diamonds
