+1 Don't see it happening. I am regressing into regret for getting one and giving the wife the iPad1 thinking that it would be jailbroken by now.

Let's be patient. I'm still enjoying my iPad 2 JB or not. I know for a fact it will come. I wouldn't be shocked if they are sitting on it and waiting for the iphone5 to go into mass production before they expose hw vulnerabilities to prevent apple from making mods.

This is chess game I think they are playing it slow. I'm still enjoying my iPad 2 and recently discovered privacy on JB iPhone 4.

problem with the 3G connection in ipad 2

guys, is there any issue within ipad 2 3g? i own the 64G version, and the 3g connection sometimes just don't work. when i open safari, warning pop up and said " no connection". while i absolutely sure my 3g connection is fine..

EDIT: I know my post sounds a bit trollish, but there are no single evidence that JB will be available in near future.

Of Coarse there will be a Jailbreak for the iPad2! They already have done it! Might not be as soon as people expect, but there will be one!

I'm beginning to think there won't be either. I mean, people were saying that the comex jailbreak was leaked to Apple. What if something is up with that? Surely Apple can afford to spend whatever it wants to keep the iPad 2 from being jailbroken.

And yeah, you're not going to find a secret iPad 2 jailbreak that no one has heard of.

And yeah, you're not going to find a secret iPad 2 jailbreak that no one has heard of.

it makes no difference if apple finds out. as long as the exploitable firmware sees official release, people who want to use it can choose not to upgrade to the new firmware till the exploit for that version is out. so say if comex finds the jailbreak for 4.3.2, apple will know upon its release that it exists anyway, so it doesn't quite matter if they find out a day early through a 'special source'

Not exactly a release or announcement though... Comex 4.3 method is not too challenging to work out with the right dev tools. Likely this guy has done exactly the same. And what an Ass for showing a demo of what he did. Does nothing for the rep of the community.
Can almost guarantee it's tethered. No proof otherwise. If it ever sees a release I'll be truly amazed...

I was wondering about all of this talk about Comex not being able to release his Jailbreak due to its use of Apple's intellectual property.

You sound like you know a thing or two about the process: Is the source code in question just a part of Apple's dev kit? Is the problem making a standalone Jailbreak application without use of that code?
