The last of the snow in my yard is fighting a losing battle. The pile is about 2" high and 1 1/2 feet across.

Alright!! No more of that dreaded white stuff! Can't believe our weather we had last Sunday. I was out in my backyard working on the garden and we had sun, wind, rain, sleet and snow! It was unbelievable!!

Wow, your Bleeding Hearts are in full bloom! Very nice!

Lanny--do the hummingbirds like the Red Buckeyes, since it is a fluted flower?

Here's a pic of my Bleeding Hearts. It doesn't get a lot of sun, since it sits close to the edge of our lot with a lot of existing trees.

Those are awesome pictures, Czevski!

The first pic of white flowers...is that trillium? Love all the wild flowers you have there. I threw a bunch of wild flower seeds out last spring, so I am curious to see what will be growing in my back lot against the fence. We haven't had a lot of sun back there, so I don't know how it takes. So far all it looks like is weeds!! :(

beautiful...Those yellow Lilly's on the wide leaf I don't know. The leaf looks like a lily of the valley leaf. you'll have to come back for those straw berries amount the viotets.:)

Actually, they're native wild columbines, Aquilegia canadensis.

do the hummingbirds like the Red Buckeyes, since it is a fluted flower?

Yes, they do like it, but probably because it's a long trumpet with lots of sweet nectar. Most of our flowers are native hummer plants, including coral honeysuckle, trumpet creeper, cardinal flower, prairie blazingstar (Liatris sp.), and wild bergamot (a Monarda, related to bee balm). We also plant several species of annual Salvia for the hummingbirds.
