He only receives DM if he wants to... He has to follow you in order to be able to receive DM's from you (you=anyone). Mentions on the other end...

Wow - just got back from the lake and looks like I missed the big news - anyways, I dont want to rip through pages of chatter - from what I have found, the jailbreak exploit does work on 4.3 wifi, but Jay Freeman has blocked the cydia download on Ipad 2. What I am wondering is if there is a workaround to getting cydia installed mabey by proxy or something????

So is this where we stand? The .PDF exploit is still in the wild, but Saurik has now blocked any NEW jailbreakers from accessing Cydia with it..

Is this correct?

And if so, how is that even possible? Is Saurik and Comex in cahoots?

Has anyone looked through the pdf's for 4.3.1 < ? I'm just curious because they didn't work for me (4.3.2) and for all I know they could have been dummies with no exploit. The only one that worked could have been the exploit that apple has already patched. So I guess I'm just not sure what kind of damage could have been done here. I just keep reading "rabble rabble apple is going to patch this now." On the other hand, if there is an exploit in the files, then we know that comex is actually working on something and there's some weight to the 4.3.4 talk.

It easy for me to ask this because I don't know what's involved in checking those pdf's. This is just what I was thinking about.

Maybe the leak was bait and Comex wants Apple to patch it to see HOW they do it and how fast. So he can circumvent their fix in the subsequent release, which will cover more users (4.3.1-4.3.3, or 4.3.4 whatever Apples patch may be)..

This is all just speculation, no one has said this anywhere.. It just seemed logical at the moment making this post..

Safari doesn't even work with the beta jailbreak for those who have 4.3..if I had 4.3 I wouldn't want to jailbreak something that made Safari not work so that could be the main bug that Comex is trying to fix..because not having Safari work that isnt a jailbreak, thats a nightmare

Do we know yet if the leak was just the original 4.3 jb that is already patched? If so, there's nothing new for apple to update.

I found a site that has the pdf's for almost every device, and when I click on the 4.3 firmware link, I actually see Cydia on my ipad 2, but it goes from loading to paused, then I get a "problem downloading the jailbreak files - HTTP response code 403"

Word? Safari doesn't work?? Well please don't tell mine, because it's been working just fine since I jailbroke.. I'd hate for it to stop knowing that others have..

Saurik and Comex are Definately NOT in cahoots. Saurik is a very respected member of the community, and this is what leads me to believe that any idea of this being a publicity stunt is typical conspiracy theory...

Most likely is that Saurik equally respects the work that Comex has done, and therefore condones the leak. It is always possible that Comex asked Saurik to block the leaked JB, but that's not being in cahoots. That's simply a matter of being respectful.
